Earlier this month, Uncanny Pop featured the summer jam “West Coast Gurls Club” from the Brooklyn-based, melodic hip-hop-infused indie artist Gold Clubb. We’ll their back with a new music video for their track “Giving It Up,” watch it below:
The track’s from their upcoming release, Gold Clubb: The 2-Stroke Mixtape. Due out September 16th, the release was mixed by Josh Valleau (Kanye West, John Legend, Snoop Dogg.
Central figure, Nicky Francis, who straddles the music, art and fashion world, is fresh off a successful collaboration with Banner Day, the new line from fashion designers Grahm Sisson and Kate Ciepulch (of Laveer fame) Their first run of high-end hand embroidered linen t-shirts featuring Francis’ drawings have been heralded by Harper’s Bazaar and can be found in Intermix, Anthropologie and Blue & Cream- just to name a few. Francis teamed up with Matt Brandau, a long-standing underground producer and touring bass player who has worked with Ski Beats, Elvis Costello, Camp Lo, among others to produce Gold Clubb’s latest.
