Indie Artist Spotlight: Americana Singer-Songwriter Katie Garibaldi

The spotlight shines on Americana singer-songwriter Katie Garibaldi.  Hailing from San Francisco, Garibaldi is an avid national touring musician who has garnered a devoted fanbase due in large part to her engaging live shows and the personal connection she’s developed with her listeners through her music. The songwriter has a characteristic musical style wherein her country-tinged folk-rock gives her a distinct and soulful sound—ethereal Americana with sparkling memorable melodies.

Garibaldi has released 8 albums including her latest EP, Rooted Clarity.  Now available online and in stores, the album has a different sound, departing from the countrified love story sound of her last album Follow Your Heart. Rooted Clarity marks a return to the artist’s folk-driven roots, featuring a fresh orchestral vibe with a mix of classical and country string players, and songs focusing on self-discovery and faith.  The record highlights Garibaldi’s trademark soulful and compelling vocals while simultaneously featuring an effectively effortless-sounding and moving production.  You can stream it here below:

Elmore Magazine describes Garibaldi’s sound as, “sweet, smooth music that is equal parts old-school pop princess and folk songstress. On her EP, Rooted Clarity, she focuses mainly on the Americana aspect with melody, choral instrumentals, and roots rhythms.” Her new single from the record, “I Am”, recently premiered exclusively on The Boot, the top source for the latest in country music news.
