On Thursday, DC comics announced that they’ve partnered with Random House for a series of YA Novels. According to Entertainment Weekly, the first is Wonder Woman which is slated to be released in August 2017. The book will be written by Leigh Bardug author of The Grisha Trilogy and Six Crows. Other books scheduled include Batman by Marie Lu (The Young Elites), Superman by Matt de la Peña (The Living), and Catwoman by Sarah J. Maas (The Thrones of Glass series).
This is exciting news and it’s great to see DC getting some of their heroes written in YA novel format. Last fall, Marvel started releasing YA Novels for some of their characters such as Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, and even Rocket Raccoon and Groot.
