Today the spotlight falls on ambient doom-rock solo artist The Black Atlas.  He just released his EP titled Devils and in anticipation for his upcoming national tour in the spring, the artist released a first in a series in-studio session videos with his single “The Other” which you can watch below.

A first in series of in-studio session videos, the session was performed, recorded, and shot in studio A at the lengendary Cove City Sound Studios, in Glen Cove, New York. This in-studio performance followed a live performance in celebration of the release of The Black Atlas’ Devils EP at New York City’s McKittrick Hotel (home of Sleep No More), and was intended to capture the energy and interpretation of The Black Atlas’ full-band live set.

Under the Gun Review describes the track “Moonsong” as

A translucent and often times cunning track from what is expected to be a worthwhile release.

And The Deli Magazine calls another track “Black Milk”

The tune reveals an extra push in the band’s dark, complex and imaginative sonic soundscape.”
